Roe Deer, Overton 01/2025

Winter isn't the easiest of times to get out and take photographs, especially when the daylight hours are taken up with work. So any time off is most welcomed and will most probably be filled with me heading out with my camera. Luckily Christmas was around the corner along with my usual two weeks off. I was excited to use some the days off to get out in the local area and get some shots.

Journeying back home to Overton from Basinsgstoke, I decided to take the back road route home. It was was a gorgeously well lit late summers evening. I was keeping an eye out for potential spottings.

Barn Owl, Overton 06/2024

Set in the farmlands on the outskirts of the village on a beautiful clear and warm summers evening while the sun kisses the rolling small hills over the farm. I've finished work for the day and I'm out with my camera in search for some Barn Owls, It really is the best time of year. The long summer evenings offer up a lot of opportunities to get some great shots of our mostly nocturnal feathered friends. I had been watching the Barn Owls in the area for a few weeks to this point while they had been working tirelessly to feed their young owlets and tonight just felt like it was going to be a special night for them.

Short Eared Owls, Glencoe 03/2024

Me and Georgia had travelled up to Scotland for a short getaway. We were staying in a secluded cabin on Loch Venachar, near Callander. Photography was completely new to me at this point and incredibly overwhelming when trying to work out how to use my new Sony A7iii. I had been getting decent shots up to this point while back home in Hampshire and was in the mood for a photography excursion and Georgia keen for a getaway also.
